Dental Diagnostic Tools
Diagnostic Tools We Offer
CEREC or Same Day CrownA traditional crown is a custom-made cap, made in a dental laboratory, that fits over your existing tooth. We now offer same-day crowns which, as the name implies, are made in our office and fitted on your tooth all in one visit! Same-day crowns are made possible thanks to computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM).
LANAP® or Laser Gum TreatmentLANAP has made it much more enjoyable and easy for patients with gum disease to get the treatment they need. It is a minimally-invasive procedure that works using laser light to kill bacteria in the pockets of the gums, leaving only healthy tissue intact. LANAP® has been approved by the FDA and has been researched thoroughly. We are very pleased with the results that this provides our patients and hold it in high regard for the treatment of gum disease.
Velscope (Oral Cancer Screening)Finding oral cancer in its early stages is key to survival. The VELscope Vx offers hope for the early discovery of oral precancers and cancers, by providing your dentist or hygienist with visual information that may not be apparent under ordinary light.
Diagnodent and Odyssey Laser (Diode Laser)Lasers have been used in partnership with traditional dental instruments since 1990. We are excited to provide for our patients an array of laser treatments designed to speed up recovery time, improve accuracy and kill bacteria more effectively than non-laser treatments.
Intraoral CameraX-rays give us a clear view of what we can't see such as decay between the teeth. An intraoral camera gives the patient a view of what the dentist sees. An intraoral camera is a device that is about the size of a toothbrush. Broken fillings, fractured teeth, decay or any other dental problem can be viewed so that we can discuss with you any treatment needed. With a clear understanding of your dental needs, we can decide together what the best treatment is for you.
